Simon Currie


Simon has more than 25 years of experience advising on the development, acquisition and financing of assets in the energy sector globally.

He has experience across the energy value chain, ranging from upstream oil and gas to electricity and gas transmission and distribution. Simon has worked on ground-breaking and innovative transactions in over 75 countries. He is noted as “one of the most well-connected in the energy industry.”

Prior to founding Energy Estate, Simon was Global Head of Energy at Norton Rose Fulbright. 


Byron Serjeantson


Byron brings together a background in engineering, economics and business administration to provide a well-considered and pragmatic approach to project development.  He is passionate about the role that renewable energy will play in securing the world’s energy future, and believes that all people should share in the benefits of the renewable energy revolution.

Byron has been a part of the renewables and sustainability industry for almost a decade, having worked across Australia, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. His skillset includes renewable energy project development, energy and carbon strategies, financial and economic analysis, life-cycle carbon assessment, advisory services and sustainable design.


Tom Harrison


Tom’s experience spans the complete life cycle of utility solar projects to include feasibility, development and operations. Tom is a UNSW trained photovoltaic engineer with five years energy experience in the National Electricity Market. He has a strong analytical background as well as robust technical knowledge and real on the ground experience. 

Tom will be the driving force behind the RenewEstate projects as our Development Manager.


Rosie King

Director of Engagement & Culture

As a lawyer Rosie has chosen roles that amplify her passion for how people and organisations engage with each other. Her key strength is connecting people and embedding open, honest and authentic communication, whether this be with stakeholders, a Board, workers, sponsors or investors.

Rosie has proven experience of managing change and growth in businesses big and small. She champions the fact that new organisations must be adaptive and agile as they grow. Rosie believes that central to the success of any business whether old or new, large or small, is relationships.

Rosie has worked previously for an Australian energy technology company and so is already committed to the development of technology that delivers affordable renewable energy. Rosie is passionate about local communities having a voice in the rapidly evolving energy landscape. She is an expert at working to ensure commercial strategy is aligned with the vision and needs of stakeholders.
